"cosmos"
Made entirely from recycled nautical ropes, rescued from abandonment on docks and marinas to become living material, sculpture.
With the chapter of works entitled "Cosmos", the artist imagines a globe that speaks of universal connections where the top is not just a material but a "code", inviting viewers to reflect on the profound union between man and the infinite.
The sphere features constellations and zodiac signs, symbols of a time when astronomy was the only guide. Today, the "Celestial Bonds" remind us that we are part of a single cosmic organism.
"We are made of the same particles that once roamed the cosmos. The matter that was in the stars is now part of our DNA. We still turn to those same stars today when we seek answers." Emanuela Giacco
